tip calibrations

Hi.
We have multiple 7107 CMMs' with PCDMIS 2014.1
Leitz probe ( head HH-AS8-T5, LSPX1H-T )
We have 14 different tip builds and the probe changer only holds 9 probes. Typically, once a week on night shift, we run our Probe calibration routine and the probes that have the fewest angles, we leave out of the probe changer and insert those by hand at the beginning of the routine, and then once those are completed by the routine, then the operator can leave for the night and the remaining tips in the probe changer are calibrated without the need of the operator to be present.
We are considering to no longer do this and start calibrating the tips / angles needed for each part routine for every part.
My question is, since there is a need for a primary tip, do we need to maintain that same primary tip?
For example, routine # 1 has a 1x21, 2x21, and 3 x 21 tip. Routine # 2 has a 3x40 and 5x50 tip.
For routine # 1, could we use the 3x21 as the primary and for routine # 2 could we use the 3x40 as the primary, or is it important that the same primary always be used?
Thanks
