Print Edit Window with background colors

I have "Print background colors" checked in my Output Configuration dialog. But when I print the edit window it only prints the font colors as black and blue. It doesn't matter if I print to PDF or RTF.
I know this dialog does double duty for the report and the edit window print...
I have my edit window configured with different background colors for different sorts of commands like blue for moves, gray for comments etc. and this is helpful when working in the edit window. it would also be helpful when printing the edit window for reference purposes!
I suspect this is not possible but thought I'd ask...
