Is there an equivalent of Solidworks measuring tape tool in PC Dmis? I'm usually the first person to do an detailed review of our engineer's work and often have to jump back and forth to solid works to check that their distance from fixture to part is properly spaced.... I wish there was a way to do that in pc dmis.
For a rough measure I'll create 2 vector points on my desired surfaces and dimension out the distance of those points, but I wish there was a way to do it across the full surface.
EG-1: a 6mm feeler check from fixture to part. Can I select the feeler surface on the fixture and the feeler surface on part and get the distance between the 2 of those surfaces?
EG-2: A datum pin locating part to fixture. Can I select the pin, select the hole on the part and check that the pin is designed center to part?
