Hello,
Novice here. I`m trying to measure a spur gear tooth profile at single z level (z-axis is parallel to gear bore axis). So I used section scan to pick up the vectorpoints from nominal profile (CAD model). To be clear, I did not use the scan, rather I generated the points on the profile -> got nominals -> got points (64 points).
So now I used profile of a line to analyze the points and it`s tells me that there is zero deviation if I choose "form only". If I choose "form and location" then it shows realistic devation (at least I think so). So why is th "form only" method showing me nominal results? Any ideas?
