Surface Profile ASME Y 14.5-1994 vs 2009

Greetings,

I am pretty sure these questions has been asked ad nauseam, so please forgive me.

Where Profile of a surface is noted on our prints, we typically will measure a series of points and create a feature set. Then we will dimension the feature set using profile of a surface.

1. Can anyone give me a concrete answer as to whether or not PC-DMIS 2016 uses the Y14.5-1994 or 2009 standard when dimensioning surface profile? (Please note: I am not asking about configuring the settings editor for reporting profile according to the ISO standard, I am already aware of how to do this in the settings editor).

2. The help file alludes that when dimensioning to the ASME standard, that it uses the 2009 standard. Can anyone provide information on what each standard says regarding the calculation of surface profile? Should it be calculated as MAX-MIN where data lies on both sides of the nominal line, and MAX value where data lies on one side of the nominal line OR should it be calculated as (MAX * 2) much like the ISO standard?

Thank you in advance for your answers.
