Multiple versions on the same station

Hello,

I had issues with this with prior versions.
(I state prior versions, i mean back in the 3.x and 4.x years)

I have had the request from my lab manager to install multiple versions of the software on a station.
We are having issues with back saving (noted in other posts) with 2018.

Is this easy to do nowadays?
Is there a trick i should be aware of?
Advice?

Consider everything here, scripting, probe files, external file call-outs.
I'm just looking to avoid the demon if possible. I'd like to keep it at bay.

All the programs are stored on a network drive.
I plan to create a completely separate directory for everything.
Store local files in their own directories.

Anything else i should do?
