Suffix of major axis of point measure /method to apply to point label automatically

We have used a inspection software in the past (Checkmate) that would allow us to add the x/y/z major axis SUFFIX to any point measurement labels automatically while we programmed.
Is there any script usable, or any solution to make the suffix addition happen within PCDMIS
