I've been working on a romer infinity 2.0 portable cmm with pc-dmis 2010 and 2011 since their release. From time to time my company has our customers conduct digital product audits. These audits have usually been routine with acceptable reviews.
Recently we have had our customers adding that we "validate the pc-dmis software" (ie...make sure that the sofware is working?)??? And do this on a timely schedule
we currently have a calibrated inspection fixture and a pc-dmis program to compare measured results to a more accurate calibration companies results. This is done on a monthly schedule and shows that the cmm is measuring accurately.
Does anyone know of the standard way of validating the software???
Thanks brian
