I found an interesting anomaly.
Start a new program in imperial.
Imported CAD: DCT Catia
Create 2 planes and measure a 3D angle between the 2 planes. Result = 67.717 degrees.
Start another program in metric.
Repeat the 2-plane creation and angle measurement. Result = 67.706 degrees.
Translated the Catia file to .step
Repeated the above: Results in both inches and mm = 67.717 degrees.
Is this a known issue?
Anyone else ever see this happen?
Note: when I checked the angle while using Catia it reported 67.717 degrees.
This part is all dimensioned in mm. It looks as if when I use this metric CAD model in a PCD imperial program, the translation goes wonky.
