I am measuring what appears to me to be a fairly simply stamped steel part.
I wrote a program thought it was nice ran it and couldn't believe my eyes. I was essentially hitting nominal on every true position in the drawing. Alarm bells rang. This can't be right. The customer for some reason doesn't use diametrical tolerance zones in their drawings (no idea the customer is always right blah blah). Anyway I looked around tried tolerancing with a diametrical tolerance zone, but still looked too good to be true. It seems to me that I really missed something, but what? I am wondering if anyone could see some glaring issues I am missing. I don't see relearn or master on any of my auto feature settings. I have restarted the CMM, computer, recalibrated the probes, and ran the program 3 times it comes out essentially the same. I have deleted the dimensions and redone them multiple times with the same results. Used regular hits on the holes instead of scans with no change in results. Essentially I am stuck.
