Hey PC-DMIS forum,
I am very new to this software and only completed a basic course 2 weeks ago..
I am having a few issues with alignments. A lot of the parts I am running on our CMM have existing programs with very little instruction on the set ups. I keep getting an occurring problem after completing my manual alignments, I carry out the manuals following the instructions from the CAM model, but once the auto alignments kick in and the probe starts doing its thing it will hit the edge of a hole or a surface and say 'unexpected probe hit' and I can only assume that the probe is meant to be going elsewhere but somewhere along the line an alignment has messed up?
I also had a similar thing with a job I programmed myself. I set up the manuals and the job seemed to run fine throughout, but then I moved it to a different machine and the auto alignments did not work after I completed the manual alignments.
I hope this makes sense and I would appreciate any advice towards fixing this!
