dimensional report numbering

I am starting to do batches of parts that require a few dimensions 100% on all parts. I can write the program to do it just not sure how to use the report window to count the serial number for the part I do.

I have done in the past where I just saved as a different number each time but wondering if it will automatically count for me. Or if I can tell it before running the program what number it is.
