Hello everyone!
I'm kind of new to programming and I have a question that I'm sure someone can help me with.
As we all know a lot of our drawings are going to model based, my question is: When you have a part with multiple features but you only have a couple of requirements called out on the drawing, let's say a true position is called out, but what i have a problem with is what is NOT called out, thicknesses, web heights, length, width, stringer locations, etc, etc. So my question is, what are the requirements to perform a complete inspection, or at least enough to ensure design conformance? I get models with no inspection notes, nothing, and yet they require an AS 9102 FA. I am talking about structural aircraft parts, some requiring extreme care, and close tolerances on the things that ARE called out.
what am I missing guys?
Thank you, I would truly appreciate someone educating me on this, I am not new to quality, or inspection, in fact I come from the "old school" which may just be my problem.
