Auto calibration without parameter sets

Hello,

I'm currently trying to figure out a decent way to automatically calibrate the tips in the program without parameter sets. This program might be used on multiple machines in the future so I wanted to avoid them if possible. I previously just had a message pop up saying " CTRL+ALT+P (or Operation -> Calibrate/Edit -> Active Probe -> Mark Used -> Measure -> Measure -> "No" " but I would prefer it to be automatic.

The method I have come up with basically mimics the normal PC-DMIS calibration by looping the "Calibrate Active Tip" with an array of the tip angles. I have it running pretty smooth but have run into a couple roadblocks that I can't seem to figure out and was hoping to get some help.

The first issue is with the STD DEV. I want to have the option to repeat the tips that exceed the STD DEV but I can't figure out how to get the updated STD DEV info.

Code:
ASSIGN/STD=PROBEDATA("STANDARDDEVIATION")
I tried using this but it appears to only be updating the value to the current STD DEV if I use the normal calibration and not the active tip calibration. I think it is pulling the STD DEV from the results file which isn't being updated through active tip cal either. I was wondering if there is a way to update the results file or get the current tip STD DEV another way? (http://www.pcdmisforum.com/forum/pc-...ia-Automation= seemed to have a similar issue but I couldn't find my solution from it).

The second issue is with the QUALTOOL_ID. Some of the machines have different qual tool names and some even have multiple to select from (older ones? Not sure honestly), is there a way to get the currently used one from the normal calibration method or is it even necessary? Currently it does a rough qual and aligns to the location, so is the QUALTOOL_ID needed or is it just to get the tool location.

If anyone has any input on the two current issues or any other tips with auto calibration it would be appreciated!

Running on 2013 MR1, can post code samples if needed. Also working 3rd shift so response might be delayed. Thanks all!
