Good Afternoon:
I have this OD that I measure as an auto circle with tip3 of my star probe. Everything was running great and something happened starting Monday. The circle that was always nominal is now measuring out of tolerance and I don't know why. We've measured the feature with an OD mic and it perfect but the CMM says its over by 0.005". I've rotated the star probe and re-calibrated, same result. I've changed probes and styli and same result.
We only check one part here at my facility and the data in datapage shows nominal and in tolerance all for many weeks before but something changed Monday morning. Anyone have any advice on what I can trouble shoot?
Operators use operator mode, no one but me has access to edit.
Operators run a auto cal program that calibrates the star probe used
CMM and computer are turned off every night and weekend.
