We recently had a customer tell us that they scan their circular features using two passes from 0 to 720 (they are using a Zeiss machine) and they are strongly suggesting that we go the same with our Global. We are using the SP25M with -1, -2, and -3. To date we haven't had any issues with correlation between our results and theirs, it just came up during a print review discussion.
Does anyone else do this?
or see advantages to the data pulled using two complete circles in the scan??
I'm just trying to avoid the headache of changing if unnecessary as some of their parts have 90+ scans in bores and fifteen minutes of searching the forum I couldn't find a similar thread.
